I always have a lot to say about purity
Sorry but it’s true
It’s a little bit because I grew up Catholic
But it’s more about how I grew up following the rules
Purity does make me feel good
Although I tend to keep my purity private
Because it is very embarrassing
The way I respect authority feels like purity
The way I respect my elders feels like purity
The way I move slowly in my airplane seat so as to not disturb the passengers in front, on the side and behind me feels like kindness and like purity
The way I have never smoked marijuana feels very embarrassing but also like purity
The way I drink too much does not feel like purity
But on those stints of about two weeks when I take off from drinking, that feels like I’ve returned to purity
